After six successful iterations, inGenius 2018 is back! This time around, our theme is Open Hack. The future is data-driven. So get behind the wheel & hack it out on the 3rd & 4th of November, 2018.

Mark your dates for 3rd - 4th November

Thinking big? Think bigger! Come and blow our minds.

The 24 hour event will feature food, games and a lot of fun.

Build and register your team online, along with an abstract about your hack!

Teams with the best hack ideas get shortlisted.

Shortlisted teams collect ticket and gear up for the event.

Registrations are now closed!

Keep checking for list of shortlisted teams.

  • Who can attend inGenius 2018?

The only restriction is that you must be a student! Age is no bar as long as you have a valid current university/ college/ school ID. Build your team with that in mind and register.

  • Is there a registration fee?

Registering your team along with your hack idea is free (obviously :P). But, once shortlisted, teams need to buy tickets which are worth ₹400 per person in the team.

  • How many people can I have in my team?

You must have at least 2 people in your team, and a maximum of 3 people. Fancy, crazy team names are encouraged! No obscenity, mind you.

  • How do I get shortlisted?

Register your hack ideas online. Give us a 100 word abstract about your hack to show us how awesome your idea is! This hack description is what will get you a confirmation mail if we like your idea. You can also add some weight to your hack by including your github and linkedin profile links. If we like your idea, you will be sent an email confirming your participation a few weeks before the event. Don't forget to keep checking your inbox (also, check SPAM, just in case!).
Registrations for the hackathon will open soon!

  • What do I have to bring?

A valid College ID (or Government ID if none available).
Laptop, chargers & other required peripherals.
Any and all hardware equipment required for the completion of your hack.
No Objection Certificate for each female participant Unadulterated enthusiasm!

Data card / dongles for internet access (just in case!). Anything you need to be comfy during the night.

  • How long is the event? Do I have to stay throughout?

Everybody gets 24 hours to work on their hacks. Including inauguration and prize distributions etc, the entire event lasts about 30 hours. You are free to leave the venue before 6 PM on day one and come back next morning after 5-6 AM.Female participants must carry a No Objection Certificate signed by their guardian in order to be allowed to stay the night!

  • How will you judge?

Based on your hack domain, judges will visit your team and do the judgement. The top 10 teams will be selected and will have to present their hacks on stage to all the judges.

  • I have a question that's not answered here

We're here to help you however you need! Feel free to drop us an email. You could also reach out to us on Facebook or on Twitter.
